This is not correct. To the extent that LLMs only draw from their training data, we aren't able to predict what part of their training data they will draw from or why in any given situation. Also LLMs get benchmarked on problems where the problems are specifically constructed so that the solutions cannot be found online and are therefore very unlikely to be in the training data. They are able to solve many of these problems.
