@GreenTrapped AI can make new stuff if you actually give it the freedom to do it...current comercial AI Image generators are just design for Human users(who usually have a preference for specific references)
Also by the same degree you can accuse people with color blindness with not knowing a specific color tones that they havent noticed because specific colors blend togther for them(It can take time but a Color blind person can learn what specific color tones mean for others even if they see them incorrectly).
If anything your argument suggest the opposite and AI need more reference images to base their art on not less to make it more accurate to match humans demands for those specific AI image generators.
