Generative AI isn't a tool. It's like a vending machine. You press some buttons, and then the machine gives you what you asked it for. It isn't the same thing as photography, CGI or digital art, because all of those still need a human to use them and create something with them.
Meanwhile the AI is just going to create an image all on its own, while the human just sits back and congratulates himself, thinking that he accomplished something. It's not elitism, it's people saying it how it is.
