Yes, stupid AI on all levels is bad. But it's a bad that can be fixed even if it causes a lot of damage, and all the fixing is really in human space. Superintelligence means _everything_ is over. Don't imagine AM torturing last few humans for fun. It doesn't even need to be intelligent at all, really - just a simple optimization system that optimizes us away.
