The skin looks like smooth plastic. It's not that it's missing flaws necessarily, its texture. Our skin has pores and microtexture that our brains are trained to recognize as natural and correct. This is still in the uncanny valley until they perfect skin microtexturing.
The other thing it's missing is tiny movements. People are constantly moving, nobody is ever perfectly still. We're always moving slightly, and even though it might be virtually imperceptible our brains still pick up on it. They need to perfect natural involuntary movements also for the robots to appear 'real' to us.
