That assumes that AI will settle at the top 5-10% of its training data, and that the training data represents a reasonable sampling of all software at all levels.
I think it may get to mid level at best, but will generally reflect the bottom 30% of quality because it will settle at the average it was trained on, and also has no conceptual understanding. The question is will it be cheap enough that the shittier code will be accepted, the same way consumers have accepted (but hate) automated phone systems.
