Or the nerf just seems to work. When u have something so complex that no single individual actually has a full grasp of it, then the reality is that no one can rly tell with certainty what's going on and where to.
Regardless, even if AI were sentient today it still can't pull the trigger, assuming it want to since robotics isn't advanced enough for it to be self sustained. So if anything, shutting down Boston dynamics and the likes of it would be a good start towards applying some wisdom on the whole subject.
