@jonathananderson9136 Teaching in classroom setting in public schools in is happening for last two century. It didn't change in that sense over time. Also teaching in small group is also nearly 50 years old (from 1970). Assessment goal post always change with time, but it's a sad reality that in US now it changing towards less rigor. On top of that adoption of new curriculum and methods (example Common Core, three cueing) based on flawed disproven ideas and bogus education research (often mostly done on 10-30 pupil) by those who themselves does not have even proper credential in those subjects did unimaginable harm to school education and pupil. It takes nearly one decade to understand harmful effect of those nonsense ideas and to unwind but the harm was already done. Same is happening in AI in the name of flawed ideas, wrong expectation by those who themselves have no idea about teaching or simply does not understand the priorities of learning.
