Not the same I've seen this argument way too much. Ai is a photobasher at best it comes very close to what the source is but struggles making anything brand new. Artists learn from photos yes but the good ones don't copy and say I made that that's a study and it's illegal to claim its yours. The issue is the bad ai guys doing it intentionally and profiting from it. I'm not against ai I just see it as a tool if anything.
