@TheSpoonyCroy I'm not saying we shouldn't move towards this as a whole. I'm just saying we shouldn't fuck ATON of people over in the process; other industries moving to automation is a horrible example since almost every industry has actively harmed people in the transition rather than making it hospitable. Tech workers and factory workers shouldn't have just been laid off when we made the change, and in this same vein we shouldn't have actively trained something off of tens of thousands of hours in labor which inevitably leaves a lot of workers behind.
It's not GREAT we live in capitalism where art has to be worth money, but we are.
And they didn't pay for everything they trained their AI on. That a WISHFUL and beautiful thought, but so far from reality. Especially text AI, who steal from actually anything on the internet.
