I second all of this. I used to be terrible at drawing anatomy. But I sat down and took the time to learn, and lo and behold.. I can draw decent anatomy; even of hands, which are regarded as one of the hardest parts to draw. The excuse that AI is somehow is the only thing granting people the ability to work on their ideas is.. honestly sad. It just feels like people are letting desire for instant gratification and an unwillingness to learn take over; letting AI prey on their insecurity that they'll never make anything good on their own, which is a lie. Everyone has the inherent ability to create, but it's _only_ through passion and practice do we become as good as those we admire. I for one, utterly _refuse_ to use a robot as a crutch. To be so hesitant to engage with the process of creativity that I'd favor a machine over my own mind, is just a dull existence I do not wish to live. Art is about the love of the process, a process that some people wish to eliminate for the sake of convenience.... But we lose many things integral to our very identify as humans if everything is done for us: one being self-expression. Also yeah the argument of equating AI usage to digital art makes no sense. It's the same process as traditional and requires the same knowledge, just used on a screen instead of paper-- the person is still the one driving the art.
