I'm going to say it is a little different. Most people do not know how these technologies work period... GPT 5 is dumber than 4 in a lot of ways. There are real benchmarks out there to show this. We can improve these system with better hardware, new algorithms and better data. The problem is it becomes more of a tug of war between what you improve and what gets worse rather than an exponential or even linear increase near the top of an S curve, which is what we're seeing. LLMs face a scaling issue right now due to various technical issues
