@123owly  I asumed it, because part of creating art is the process. If you use AI art you skip the process and idk why anyone who enjoys making art would do that. If you think that the mainstream enjoys AI art then go ahead and post it around and see how the mainstream reacts. AI users who call themselves artists are made fun of because they are essentialy putting themselves on the same level as someone who picks up a pencil and actualy draws the thing. Imo "creating" AI art is more akin to making a google search. It's a diffrent activity then drawing or skulpting or whatever else. It's like me calling myself an electrician because I changed a lightbulb. Ofc anyone is free to call themselves an artist. It is true that art is subjective to a point where anyone and anything can be called an artist or art, but the peoples reaction to it is justified imo. It's kind of like the banana on the wall situation. Another reason why the art comunity hates AI is, because it is build upon their work and will eventualy take their job while some big greedy company profits from it. Yes, I disagree with the premiss of this video that AI won't replace humans in the industriy. Obviously humans will always make art, but the moment AI art becomes impossible to tell apart from the real thing, companys will definitly exploit that, since most commertial media is just mass produced slop anyways. And the 3rd reason why AI artists are disliked is, because they tend to not be clear about their use of AI. Idk why that is, but for some reason alot of AI artist don't lable their art as what it is and instead try to decieve people. Again, not everybody ofc, but the people who do don't exactly help the image of the AI users.
