While I spend a lot of time worrying about the societal effects of massive AI-caused job losses, I'm wondering how much of this CEO signalling is now just being done out of fear that if they don't very publicly warn their human employees that they are facing professional extinction, their human investors will just assume that means said CEO is way behind the AI curve and their share price will tank.
