You don't even have to use beefy PC anymore to train a LoRA. Cloud based LoRA training is now available and it practically removed the only cons that it needed a strong hardware. I myself tried it, and flabbergasted as to the thing it's capable of.
It started when I noticed, an AI pic guy, generated some images of a certain character, in a certain artist's artstyle that I know very well. I was wondering "how do they do that?" So I went on a little dive, found out about this LoRA stuff. Fiddled with it for a bit and, returning to point one, it's scary.
I generated images that mimics that artist's artstyle, from the eyecolor, hairstyle, even expressions. Colouring is also heavily mimicked. It made it crystal clear to me that, whoever is using it to open commission, or opening up fanbox for AI arts, is straight up stealing.
