⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠@whilpin…you just compared an AI “artist” to someone COMMISSIONING art. You’ve also said expressing an idea is art, but there is no expression besides a basic, couple sentence summary of your idea. Handing your idea over for something *else* to make it does not, in any case, make *you* an artist. I mean you constantly talk about the AI making the decisions, the AI being able to replicate certain styles. That makes AI the “artist” not a prompter. And the ai being able to replicate abstract art completely misses the point of abstract art as an art form. It’s a way of letting yourself go, letting your emotions take over. You typing in “abstract art” doesn’t actually contain any of the emotional weight an artist would put into a painting. The entire concept of telling a machine to pump out something similar to a two-sentence commission is cold and meaningless. The literal antithesis of art. And no, I don’t feel like going down a rabbit hole of this bs because it will be filled with meaningless dribble that boils down to “I commissioned an AI to draw something for me, which makes ME an artist!”
