You can't have a record, because any developer can generate an AI generated image in their own computer. Even you can do that using Stable Diffusion, and no one will ever know that you created that image.
What we do have are tools to detect if a particular content was created using a neural net (obviously, they work using probabilities, as all AI models do, so you can't be 100% sure).
