Coding is very much the field of "if it works, don't ask questions". Of course there are going to be people who see AI as a bunch of blackboxes that no one understands when there is little to no monetary incentive to investigate why code works, only to figure out the issues when it doesn't. It's not unheard of to have code exist for months, or even years, functioning in an unintended manner that will only be noticed due to a some conflict that theoretically shouldn't have happened.
