What we should be doing is taking a huge step back and collectively acknowledging that we don't need AI to be used for everything. We should be agreeing on what it should and shouldn't be utilized for. What they are currently doing is rolling out as much of this technology as they can legally get away with without doing legitimate impact studies about the ramifications. It doesn't help that these companies can afford the most persuasive lobbyists and legal teams on their payroll bribing and lying to get this stuff pushed through before communities even realize the damage has already been done.
