@japjapcat Let's say for every 10,000 active writers, we have one actually good writer. Probably not a bestselling author like Brandon, but still a solid writer with a bright future, with a potential to grow further. Now imagine a world where the demand for creatives is very low, because human creatives are mostly used to guide AI that can produce work super fast. Why have 10 writers for your video game when you can have one part-time writer with AI powerhouse paid by the company? Where we have 10,000 writers now, there will be only 100 in the future. There will simply be too much competition, and not enough jobs. You can see where it leads: there will be too few creatives who can make a living doing their creative work, and the chance of the next Brandon Sanderson to appear will become infinitely small.
