Yes, but your brain has a lot more information than you can encode in a neural network, which is trained on datasets labelled by humans and contain errors. Whereas fusing information from different sources including lidars allow you to do deterministic if-else loops. That's smarter - we are very very far from truly mimicking humans in robotics.
