@jfaber99usually man that driver need to get out of the truck and actually pump the diesel. How do you do that without a driver? Now you could employ gas station attendants to do it but that doesn’t seem very sustainable in the long term and is just a step backward in terms of automation. Also many gas stations are pretty challenging to navigated even for human drivers. So yes man there would have to be large infrastructure upgrades to make automatic fueling possible especially for over the road trucking.
