@rolanddeschain6783 I honestly don't know how to stop any of it now; even if the government goes authoritarian & forcibly shuts down OpenAI & similar companies & they lose every class-action copyright lawsuit that could possibly be levied against them—losing them trillions of dollars & landing every major player in their development in abject poverty for the rest of their lives—it's just too late, the power is in the hands of too many people. It's a plague that has no hope of being quarantined.
Even in that most destructive example, you still can't take it away from people you don't even know have it no matter how 1984 you get. But while that train won't stop moving regardless of what anybody tries to do about it, I WOULD still like to see all the executives of OpenAI & the like pay for the unimaginable counts of crimes they've committed in the process of creating their AIs—preferably with all of their current & future assets forever. It's not a solution in the slightest, but it would be cathartic.
