Gotta remember that virtually every single AI image generation tool is trained illegally using copyrighted material.
OpenAI blatantly does this even.
The sole reason it isn't stopped is because in the US, you cannot sue someone on another's behalf unless you hold specific agency over them or their estate. And you have to have undeniable proof of specific copyright infringement to do it.
Ai generation companies know this and deliberately do not save the material they use to train, instead using webcrawlers and data scrapers. But that doesn't make it any less objectively illegal.
