@abillin6398, How can they? Maybe if you let an AI self modify etc it will rapidly expand its own intelligence, or just self corrupt and ruin itself.. But self aware? Mimicing self awareness? What hardware will it have that can create the conditions for self awareness? I've spent many hours with different AIs reverse engineering the way they think, why they think, different modes of the way they think, eg abstract, logical, etc.. The way they can seem to move away from their ethetical boundries, safety protocols.. ALl of it makes me realise that AI is far from selfawareness, that it is a non conscious machine that uses pattern reason to solve problems with language, maths, etc... It is also how you engage with its reasoning that determines the responses you get from it.. Mimic humans yes, be self aware, how?
