Natural selection is the power behind sex, which as far I'm aware, we experience firsthand. Likewise, AI growth (including potential deception) is the power behind getting answers to our prompts/interactions with it.
Tinkering with our genes can be risky. It happens organically or in the lab. We've developed crispr as a force of good but aren't cloning humans yet not only for ethical reasons but also to avoid creating/imposing the Frankenstein effect.
AI "doesn't mind" the Frankenstein effect and its developers aren't the only ones welding the life-giving thunderbolt(s).
