@charlesgedeon I find AI has helped me understand complex concepts (i.e., microeconomics, budgeting concepts) in a very simple manner. It does tend to oversimplify things, but a simple "delve deeper into X or Y" fixes it for me. I find AI to be not very different from Google or Yahoo Answers -- if you are as a old as I am. The key to learning is motivation. You may have all the tools in the world -- or no tool for that matter -- and it will not change the outcome. And that means that an AI that does not inspire such motivation is as bad as a professor who cannot inspire students.
Perhaps then the biggest question is what structures are in place are leading us to lose motivation. I have many classmates who frankly abuse AI and more often than not, the cause is burnout. We are full of deadlines, timelines, and of course social media which is crippling our collective focus.
Great talk. I watched it before heading to have some drinks with friends. I will probably share it with them.
