Today's LLMs don't think at all. The term AI is totally misleading. It's like asking questions to a book opening it at random places for the answer only this time the answers actually make sense but it's not because the book can think or has a consciousness, it is just very good at recognizing patterns and spitting out information that makes sense and sounds like something you want to hear.
