Those wishes were about robots taking over manual labor, a.k.a. things we don't want to do. Most artists are passionate about their work. AI "art" wasn't developed with artist's support, quite the opposite, they had their work stolen without their knowledge to feed these algorithms. No comparison between the wished utopia of having robot maids and robot construction workers around so we humans can actually focus on the arts and the things we enjoy and what is actually happening nowadays with AI. The first is about human liberation, about being able to live without the pressure of hard work. The latter is human exploitation for the benefit of capitalism.
