Thats if your the average moron who uses AI art. But if your an actual human, it can be very usefull as a tool/accelerator. It turns 2D art workflow into feeling more like 3D art.
What alot of people do, is they train a LORA on their shading and art style. Then they draw up a basic black and white image and splash some color vaguely on it. Then they brush over parts of the image they want AI to shade in, and then correct anything the AI does wrong.
Same goes for animation, since you would have AI either rotoscope something, or even just "interpolate" between frames you made.
