​@mintx1720 I'm not trying to be offensive, but you're not a person who *actually* draws often, right? That's why it's so hard to explain to non-invested in art people all the things that are wrong with machine-made images, because they're hard to grasp for anyone not used to the creative process. She simply said that for a person that draws by hand there's nothing interesting in machine-made images because they don't tell you an artist's creative process, but just how the LLM calculates the final product. You don't see a peculiar brushstroke or a line and get to understand *why* it's made like that, and unless the prompt is *billion* words long or the entire image gets overpainted a lot of decision-making will be lost to a machine that understands only zeros and ones and calculates your final piece based on statistics, no technique behind that image besides prompting, no matter how many masks or reroll you take. That's why it's so hard even to call LLMs used for the final product a "tool", because a "tool" is something that allows the process, not something that skips 90% of it (and it's not a new form of art either, because the final result is a normal image). It's a little bit too comfortable to label everyone who's reasoning you're not able to understand "anti by principle" to devalue their critiques to something unfair, not to mention that for something as shady as the "generative AI" business being against it by principle isn't even that much of a stretch in moral principles, if you ask me...
