I don't like how they claim it is art. It us just a tool. The only artistsic thing about the whole process is the prompt itself.
I don't wanna completely denounce AI because it can be helpful, but it is too unregulated, not to mention it illegally uses the IPs of millions of artists without permission.
The only way I think this argument would hold any water is if the only art inputted within the program was yours and yours alone (that or that of your team), because then you have multiple unique reference points for what you DO want generated. It would be more for efficiency and not any artistic merit, but yeah.
