I agree partially…stealing from artists is a problem? This should have been an immediate copyright violation but of course money got involved so they are above the law now….the second issue is it’s bad for the environment, the third issue is that is destroys art careers.
Art having soul is arbitrary and a very weak argument. I make art because I enjoy it, it’s fun to work at something and improve at it. I don’t think art needs “soul”, whatever that means. it needs to be genuine and made by a human, that’s it. I wanted to work in animation but I’ve decided otherwise because of Ai and how it’s impacting art industries. It doesn’t seem worth it anymore when companies don’t care to make anything good anymore . Society never respected artists in the first place, but it’s so much worse now with gen Ai….I just keep my peace by making art for myself family, friends and myself.
