Most "AI haters" are artists themselves. AI generation of images doesn't come out of nothing, it exists because the creators have fed the machine with thousands of art pieces that were not given consent to. It's unregulated and unethical to use it. Also "AI bros" have been feeding the AI specifically art from artists that have been saying they're against it and that they don't want their art to be used for it as a way of being petty. Most AI supporters claim art is classist and ableist but there's millions of disabled people that are artists and they got their art stolen too, but at the same time they laugh at actual artists saying our time is over and that we will be good for nothing the moment AI "art" develops enough. So, yeah, there's good reasons for being against it.
