This is not at all what the history of deep learning indicates anyway, nor what the speed of progress in capabilities currently observed shows: if there is a wall, in any case, we haven't encountered it yet... The capabilities of LLMs continue to grow on exponential curves. The time horizon of tasks that AI agents can accomplish is currently doubling every 4 months. And frontier models are already contributing significantly to the creation of the next-generation models. This was the case for GPT 5.3-Codex, Claude Opus 4.6, and the very recently released Gemini 3.1. We are at the beginning of recursive self-improvement. This is a path that will almost certainly lead to superintelligence much faster than you think if we continue to let the industry do whatever it wants.
