yeah, in this example the person microwaving the food would be more like someone paying for a commission (if he got the food from a restaurant) or buying from an artist's shop and then claiming it as his work, still plagiarizing but at least someone's getting compensated for their effort.
An example closer to using generative AI would be if he was stealing his coworkers' homemade lunches out of the company fridge and then microwaving it and saying he made it himself.
