I worked for a company that built anthropomorphic robots for Disney, Universal Studios, the govt., and other customers.
One thing that was an actual danger was when a robot would flail it's arm out rapidly in a random direction due to a program glitch. Workers could be accidentally struck in the head by a mechanical arm causing a serious injury.
A real hazard of working around mechanical beings.
