If their accident rate is like Waymo's, the insurers will be very happy with them. Seeing as they have been running their trucks for years on those roads and we haven't heard about any accidents, which we would for sure because people are scared of trucks, I bet their safety record is very good. They picked an easy part of the driving task: long haul freeway driving in Texas with minimal surface roads on completely controlled and repetitive routes
