You clearly didn't listen.
Influence isn't the same as data mining. A painter living in the 1800s could take influence from a work and blend it with his own ideas and style, but the limitations of talent, dexterity and accuracy prevent it from being a carbon copy. And if a painter was to copy another to the point of forgery, we generally consider those people criminals.
AI is making carbon copies of copyright protected art, mixing it with other copyright protected art and reselling it as a new product.
It's no different than if I was to go to a supermarket, buy 3 different bottles of wine, mix them all together, pour the mixture into a similar bottle and then slap my own label on it, call it my own and sell it on the same shelf for double the price.
