Neither does AI, even the reasoning mode is unable to think as far as I know. It only follows through patterns, analyzing vast amounts of data to generate responses based on probability. Just like a calculator follows predefined mathematical rules to give an answer, AI follows linguistic and logical patterns without true understanding or independent thought. Simply a major step up from a calc.
