My biggest problem with it, is that these AI are trained off stolen work. Artists are not compensated, not asked for pemission, they get nothing. It is extremely unethical in that sense, and the ethical issues only get much worse when you learn how terrible generative AI are for the environment.
All that, because people are lazy and ignorant and want to lie so hard that they convince themselves that they've become something that they are not: a talented artist.
