The poem was trash though. It didn't scan, it was overly sentimental, the rhymes were extremely clunky, and just over all it was doggerel. I have had it write a number of poems and they always come out like this, quatrains with weird rhyming schemes that flip around. I guess that there's a lot more crappy poetry on the internet than the good kind, so it leans toward whatever is most commonly found.
I suppose you could use it as a starting point and get it to refine the poem a few times. But ChatGPT doesn't understand human speech patterns, so it doesn't produce poems that flow naturally.
