As for using AI for therapy; I don't think it's inherently a bad idea. I do it. I haven't told it anything that other millions of people probably haven't, but it will only improve with time.
AI will only improve, too. And yeah, chatgpt needs better policies regarding interactive data. You should be able to save your chats locally and still opt out of data collection.
