Also idk about the US, but here in Hungary and all European universities, you have to finish at least half a year of internship in your relevant field to get a degree. Case in point: I am a sociologist, I can tell the Us has a housing crisis because the data says the average age of a first-time home-buyer is 40 years old. I can also tell AI is not replacing workers, because companies who tried replacements always end up with a loss in production afterward. Also this video is wrong, companies don1t actually replace, just straight-up fire workers, and invest their wages in the AI bubble trough stocks and not actual Ai services. Also you are in a crisis, because if we exclude the AI bubble, the US i already in a technical recession, and has a crisis in spending (aka people feel poor) and the wealth inequality is rapidly getting worse (the top 1% owns more than the bottom 50%, the top 20% owns more than the bottom 80%). These are all for the following reasons: 1.deregulations of banking and finance since 1985, intensifying in 2017-2020 and now again 2025 2.defunding of agencies overseeing fraud and antitrust (antitrust is the name for action against monopolies and anti-competition behaviour) 3.decreasing direct funding and increasing deregulations for public education (so private schools take over and the quality of education drops) 4.legalized lobbying (you can thank Reagan and the supreme court for that too) corrupting public institutions 5.a culture of dishonesty (which was always present and has religious roots, but was/is made worse by the internet and the defunding of education)
