Fr. Their arguments are so fundamentally flawed that I don't know where to start with it.
Writing the prompt takes effort? Well, then the prompt is the art, not the AI image. But then they'll say sth like "well then the brush is the art with that logic-" THE BRUSH DOESN'T DO THE ART FOR YOU.
In the end, they always end their argument with sth like "boomer" or "cope and seethe", or "this is the future whether you like it or not" which feels like a cult or sth. Or they just care about getting a pretty pictures like mindless consumers.
