Because it creates a bubble where you begin to see only what the algorithm shows you. It’s not just on consumer products but viewpoints as well, like political ads. As a result, “the other side” is never presented and people become indoctrinated into certain ideas and ideals since debate and contrasting opinions are filtered out.
