Yep, traditional dev methods are pretty much done for. But writing code is the easy part. What happens when you need to scale? Or have a business busting security vulnerability. There is space for devs to move into. Traditional devs will have to adapt or die.
And trust that I am using generative AI code with the rest of them. But as an actual dev, I am much faster than non-devs at using these tools and I can troubleshoot issues much faster. Basically I am more effective now, but I know enough to understand the current limitations.
