She's wrong on the cart pusher machine denting carts, and that's why they won't use it. No, the machine cart pusher will work FLAWLESSLY and probably efficiently, too. However, a human will be cheaper.
The reason "AI will take all our jobs" is nonsensical is because as AI and AI-powered machines take over more jobs, it results in more people competing for the jobs that are left. This inherently drives down wages. It becomes exponentially harder to take over more human jobs because every step of the way inversely causes the cost efficiency of human labor to rise.
What I'm saying is, they could build a perfect cart pusher robot, but why would Walmart buy that when the job market is so bad they can easily find humans who will do it for a warm meal?
