@novideoscorp Am I hyperbolizing? Or are you maybe minimizing? Saying "there’s nothing wrong with creating a few images..." sounds reasonable on the surface until you realize that every single person using that exact justification adds up. I know you're trying to draw a line between personal use and industrial-scale abuse of ai tools. That distinction makes sense on paper, but in practice, it's not so clear-cut. When thousands (or millions) of people justify "just a few images" in isolation, it still adds up.
You treat individual actions as existing in a vacuum. Also, comparing ai usage to humans consuming water and electricity kind of misses the mark. Human needs are, well, needs. ai art isn’t. It’s a convenience, not a necessity. Also, I'm not even anti-ai, I like the research and advancements for the most part purely for advancement's sake, but can also recognize and point out things.
