AI will stop itself because it's very expensive to run. It isn't getting any better due to lack of source material. It only appeared in its current form because of previous lack of computing power, and additional computing power is going to do it very little good. So it's the other way round. If we want to have fun fighting it, we must do it now, before it's gone.
